DC Trip
On August 22 Sharon, Abby, and I flew to DC to visit Grandma and Grandpa Maloney. Abby did great on the plane. We were there for about a week when David flew out to join us for one more week. It was quite hot the first week we were there in the 100's! It started to cool down to the 80's and 90's by the end of our time. Abby had a hard time with the time change and was a little bit grumpy, but now she's back to normal. It was a great time with my family. My mom and I took Abby swimming a couple of times, I spent lots of time at Target (the greatest store ever!), and lots of time hanging out. We went up to Grandpa's office in DC one day and had lunch - he is a very proud grandpa:) We also got to see my mom's brother, Uncle Mark, his wife, and one of my cousins Craig. It was a great trip!

Oh, the other fun thing we got to do was to go out on a date! David and I went to the Melting Pot. It's a fondue restaurant. That was a lot of fun and absolutely delicious - I especially loved desert - chocolate fondue! That's pretty much our trip. Can't wait to do it again soon....
I think your next trip south may be a bit more permanent, and the journey to your parents won't be quite as long :)

Jenn, I'm so bummed I missed you! I didn't get your message on my blog that you were gonna be in town until it was too late! Abby is sooo beautiful and I can tell that your mom and dad are LOVING the grandparents role! =) Will you be back in the states any time soon? XOXO
