4th of July
This year we had a very different 4th of July. I searched high and low to find some sort of parade, but no luck. We did go up to Nashville where they had a big event with booths and games and food and such at the downtown riverside park. They also had a big stage set up with different musicians playing. We walked around a bit and listened to music for awhile (the Bayou Band) but didn't stay for fireworks. We did get a nice little show off of our balcony. Hope you all had a nice fourth!
Music Row in Downtown Nashville there were so many people. There are also tons of people singing and dancing on the street. We stopped and watched some kids break dancing - they were really good.
The stage set up on River Side Park. You can tell who the veterans are - they all brought tents and chairs. I think you have to get there really early and basically camp out all day to get a good seat for the fireworks and music.

Glad you all had a fun 4th even without a parade.
Abby looks adorable as ever in her outfit and shades.
Great pictures of Abby with Mommy and Daddy.
We miss you all!

I guess you just have to live in the right place to have a parade. We had a nice "hometown" parade kind of like Ketchikan only the sun was actually shining and we went swimming after. Junction City Kansas apparently has one of the nation's larger celebrations or so we have heard.
We have been on the river walk at Christmas time and it is beautiful and fun. A must see also at Christmas is the Grand Ole Opry. They even have water from Ketchikan Creek. Go figure!!!
