Santa Baby

This is a post for which I will probably some day have to apologize. I remember my mom at one point thinking it was such a "cute" idea to force us all to dress as Eskimos and have our picture taken in a sled. I (in middle school at the time) did not think it was a cute idea and my expression in the picture portrays this fact. For years she kept it on a shelf in her house and every time i walked through i turned it over or in the other direction. Oh well. Pat and Bob (our cousins) sent these outfits for the babies and I just had to document it....

December

In case i don't get another post on in the near future...Merry Christmas! Hope you all have a very happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year. Gould's house is busy with diapers, feedings, naps, baking, wrapping, crafts, and most importantly trying to explain to Abby about Jesus' birth. She wants to know why He won't physically be there to open presents with us and will Jesus blow out candles on His birthday cake? I love how the mind of a three year old works. :) Here are a few of our happenings....

Snow! We got our first real snow last week. We are supposed to get a couple more inches on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. A white Christmas would be fun! :)

David and Abby at the Fredericksburg Christmas parade. We took her down town for the parade and had a great time huddling together under a blanket watching the bands and lighted floats go by. (It was too cold for the babies, so they stayed with grandma and grandpa).

Abby had several theme days at school last week. I decided to be supermom and we made Nativity scene cookies for the Manger theme day. In case you can't identify them we have 2 angels, 3 shepherds, 3 wise men, Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, and a sheep. We did have a few more but... This is how the conversation went at our house that night:
Jenn- "oh no, David! Sydney is eating the sheep and animals!"
David- "what about baby Jesus?"
Jenn- "it's okay, he's in the oven."
I'm no artist so don't judge me too harshly on my decorating skills. :)

My bathing babies. They are getting big fast, and it's amazing how quickly their personalities are coming out. Megan is very easy going, a great sleeper, and happy all the time. Ian is a worrier, not a great sleeper, but when he's happy he is a complete ham.

Abby loves being a big sister and Ian and Megan love her! She likes to play with them, although not always at the most opportune times...

This was supposed to be nap time. I heard Abby in the babies room and found them in Megan's bed.

I guess those are the latest happenings for now. God bless and keep you all as you celebrate Christ's birth!!!
