Wedding Day

It's my wedding day, must burn this date into my memory. August 20, August 20, my anniversary is August 20. Not to stressfull so far, after all I am blogging and I have listened to a soccer game on the radio and watched another one on TV. Things should start picking up here in about an hour. I am not really nervous, I guess I would be if I was marrying the wrong woman, but I am marrying the right woman so everything is cool. I floated the idea of a "groomcam" by Jenn but it was immediately dead in the water. I think I will be able to blog a little in Hawaii, maybe give a kind of play by play of the wedding day after the fact. Ok I have to go get married now. Peace.

Soccer Tournament

A couple of posts ago I wrote about playing in a soccer tournament. Well it's over now and my team emerged as victors. I managed to score 6 goals but by the last game I was running on fumes big time. I am 27, I should be entering my athletic prime right about now. I think Jordan was around 27 when he averaged 37 points a game, but instead I am entering my fat tub of goo prime. Anyway, I got some pub is the local paper which was a bonus.

An Epic Struggle, Man against Nature

I embarked on an Epic hike today, up Deer Mountain and over to blue lake. It is the hardest hike I have ever done, but well worth it. I realized how out of shape I was when I was passed on the trail by a middle aged couple who I had driven past on the dump road on the way to the trail. There will be more later.

Soccer Tournament

I am playing in a mini soccer tournament this weekend, seven a side, full field. If there was one thing I could change about living in Ketchikan it would be to have a men's soccer league. Any way our team is called the Duppy Conquerors, I have no idea what that means, but that's what it is. We played our first game last night and came out with the easy win 4-0, I scored two goals but should have had more. It's a lot of fun, there are some guys that I used to play in high school with on the team, Neil Kinunen, Joel Azure maybe Dave Mitchell, just like old times. Tonight we have back to back games, I'll ask Jenn to take some pictures so I can post them. I'll be back with the full Match report and a review of my own performance later.
