First Weekly Gould's house awards

The award for best vocals and vocal harmonies goes to The Eagles. I love The Eagles, maybe the most polished group I have ever heard.

The award for most overated singer/songwriter goes to James Taylor, I just don't get it.

This is my future bride. I ordered here from a catalog and she arrived today. Actually she arrived a couple of days ago but I let her sit in the box at the post office for a while before I picked her up. I was very pleased.

Leah

I tried to get a picture of Leah awake but she has been sleeping for a month straight so I gave up.

Jaden

This is Jaden at the house, I have to learn how to tend to a greenhouse.

Closing on the house

Jenn and I went to sign all the papers for the house this afternoon and we will be able to move in on Friday, a little earlier than expected. I think I signed my name about 30 different times and the only time I understood what I was signing was when I verified that my name was actually David Gould. Of course I skimmed over all the paperwork acting like I knew what I was reading.

Lists

Something that I love to look at and read about are things sorted into lists, for instance top ten movies or sports teams and such. I am going to to start making my own lists just for the fun of it and posting them on the blog, I will call them "My Top Five" I have spoken. The first list will be, "THE FIVE GREATEST POPS OF ALL TIME" I discussed this with Jerry Demmert once, and he used to drink a six pack of coke a day, his pop expertise is unsurpassed.
The List:
#5 Ginger Ale
#4 Pepsi Twist
#3 Cactus Cooler
#2 Mountain Dew
#1 Dr Pepper

Sirius

First things first. I want to give props to Jeff Smith whose own blog made me want to create one myself, so thanks Jeff. Let me just say that I am in love with Sirius radio, it is "the sickness". Especially living in Ketchikan where good local radio must be illegall or something because all the stations are absolute dross. Actually K-Love is okay but I haven't heard it come through clearly on any radio ever. Also they tend to play the same songs a lot, and they don't show any love to the old school guys like Keith Green or Larry Norman or any of the other pioneers. Would it kill K-love to play a little Phil Keaggy once in a while, the guy's one of the worlds best guitarists, one of the most prolific and consistent christian song writers (over 30 albums) yet he never gets any (K) love. It's mostly one hit wonder type groups with numbers in their name, like tree 63 or building 429.

There are a lot of things going on in my life right now, and one of them is that Jenn and I are buying a house. Hopefully we will close on it within the week. Anyway this is the house, it's nice and secluded, a great first house.

Hello

Well, everyone else is doing it so I might as well jump on the blogging bandwagon and see if I have anything interesting to say.
